Southern end of the Iron Horse trail

Took a massive bike ride yesterday, at least for little big me. Spent some time partially reassembling the daughter-units returned from college in a big 'ol box bike but there was a part missing. Was going to use her superior bike but instead loaded the remnants into the MPV and set out for parts unknown on my old dependable Costco floor model. I made it to the Northern end of the Iron Horse http://www.ebparks.org/parks/trails/iron_horse trail trail a few weeks ago and decided to make for the Southern end in Dublin. 19 miles whew!. I briefly considered catching BARTing back to Oakland and then to Lafayette where its mostly DOWNHILL back to my house, but what's the fun in that.

Slowly slogged against the wind back to Alamo where I finally surrendered to the sharp burning sensations in my upper biking muscles and ate a HiTek Burrito while waiting for the for spousal unti to come to the rescue. Legs actually feel OK today, imagine that! Est. distance 35 miles.

Neil Gaiman's Journal: ants and screencracks

ants and screencracks

Posted by Neil at 10:12 AM

Somehow in my sleep last night (fell asleep while working, on the sofa) I cracked my notebook computer's screen, and yesterday afternoon the new posh slick black internet router was discovered when I picked it up to try and work out why the internet was so very, very slow, to contain an ants' nest,  upsetting a very large number of little black ants in the process, most of whom ran off, carrying their eggs and probably grumbling about me in Ant.

What an odd world.

no buggy computer cracks
