An actual ray gun would be my preferred method of spider extermination, but unfortunately, the Bug Vacuum just looks like one. An ecologically friendly device, the handheld vacuum sucks up stray bugs and secures them in a chamber to be released unharmed into the wild. For the naturalist in all of us, a built-in magnifier lets you get a close-up look at the bug while it's trapped. I've always leaned to the tissue-grab-and-flush method for insect control, but I guess I could learn to be a bit more green for 25 bucks.
